How Our Reservation Service Works

If you want to free yourself from the responsibility of driving your own sled to concentrate on the beauty and people around you, a snowcoach provides a popular option for touring the park. Snowcoaches are enclosed and heated vehicles that travel on tank treads over the snow. If you are chauffeured by a naturalist guide, you will have an opportunity to hear some of the stories that bring the history of "Colter’s Hell" alive as you watch the parks scenery go by. You can be sure the snowcoach will make plenty of stops to view scenic vistas and abundant wildlife along the way. Skier drop-offs and guided ski tours may also be arranged in West Yellowstone.

You can also take a snow coach into Yellowstone for a day tour or to Old Faithful Snow Lodge and stay overnight. The Snow Lodge is in the heart of great nordic skiing. At the Lodge you can arranged for snow coaches to take you to any of the area trailheads for drop-offs so you can ski back to the Lodge. These trips can be a short ski or an all day trip. From the lodge itself there are miles of trails covering the geyser basin. Elk, Deer, Coyote and Buffalo spend the winter around the thermally heated basin and can be seen along your ski.
