Exploring Yellowstone's Hydrothermal Features In 1872, congress set aside Yellowstone as the world's first national park primarily because of its thermal features. The park is home to approximately two-thirds of the world's geysers and is the most active geothermal area on the planet. On our pack trip, we visit three thermal regions on the Mirror Plateau and discuss the various types of thermal activity that is found in Yellowstone and the geological history of Yellowstone's caldera. This is a four-day pack trip and the total cost is $1,320 per person. To Make Reservations, Call Toll-Free 1-866-646-0388 From Outside the USA, Call 406-446-4900
